Before I provide updates, I want to express my thanks
for the book Chuck gave me last Friday night that
included inscriptions from many of you.  I appreciated
all the kind words expressing thanks for my efforts
doing the Cajun/Zydeco calendar all these years.  It
was a very thoughtful and touching gift. Thank you!

REMINDERS:
- As a reminder, Geno will be playing this Friday
night at Just Dance in Oakland. 

- Geno's also playing Saturday night at the JCC in San
Rafael.  If you ask for "Dana's discount" or the
"Eagle's discount", you'll get $5 off the ticket
price.  See "Other News" at the end of this email for
more information about the dance. 

- There will be NO dance this Friday night at the
Eagle's Hall in Alameda.  Dances will resume there
NEXT Friday (Aug. 8th) with Dexter Ardoin. 

CHANGES AND CORRECTIONS:
- Tri Tip Trio's dances in Ukiah are Aug. 2nd & 3rd,
rather than Aug. 1st & 2nd.  See the calendar for
details.   
- Andre's gig in Palo Alto has been changed from Nov.
15 to Nov. 22.

Accordion Festival in Cotati, August 23-24, 2008.  The

Jack, Motor Dude Zydeco and Mark St. Mary on Saturday
and Wild Catahoulas and Motor Dude Zydeco on Sunday. 

Cajun/Zydeco Festival in Sebastopol, Sept. 6, 2008.

line-up includes Roddie Romero, Zydeco Flames, Mark
St. Mary and the Wild Catahoulas. 

OTHER NEWS:

Quite a few people have asked for more information
about Geno's gig this Saturday night at the JCC in San
Rafael.  From what I've heard, Geno will be playing
outside but there WILL be a dance floor.  He's
scheduled to play from 7-10 pm.  And if you ask for
"Dana's discount" or the "Eagle's discount" at the
door, you'll get $5 off the ticket price.  That's $20
instead of $25.  It should be a fun dance.  Hope to
